What Really Grinds Your Gears?
You know what really grinds my gears? I have an ever-expanding list.
1. Teachers (Or simply people in general) staring over your shoulder
2. My sisters when they get really annoying
3. People who go on and on and on and drag a joke out until it's not funny anymore
4. That sound of styrofoam grinding on stuff
5. Trying to find an answer that's right in front of you and not being able to see it
But enough about me. What really grinds YOUR gears?

1. Small children, especially babies. They're so frakking annoying. Especially when they cry and scream because things didnt go their way, like if they dont get those cornflakes they want.
2. Long loading screens. It's flowbreaking, completely eradicates any traces of immersion and is just plain annoying.
3. When you have something to do, like homework, but always end up going on the chatbox or playing a round of [insert game here]. I know it has a name ,but i cant remember it...
4. When i cant remember what something is called. Especially annoying when you're using 3 languages daily. Like me.

EXACTLY! I hate that sooooo much! Unfortunately I have to put up with it with my younger stepsister every day and it makes me wanna...I dunno...do this!
Unfortunately I cant do that because it'll cut my limited computer time.
Re: What Really Grinds Your Gears?
Wouldnt that make you a close minded hypocrite? Or are you some kind of alien visitor?

Re: What Really Grinds Your Gears?
nope, I'm a close minded hypocrite because calling myself open minded would be hypocritical, so either way, I'm screwed I would like to think I'm more open minded than most people, at least around here, but I'm still extremely close minded in the grand scheme of things
Re: What Really Grinds Your Gears?
You dont even know any of us in real life... You cant say you're more open minded than someone you barely know.

By around here, I mean physically around here, as in the Annapolis Valley NS
Re: What Really Grinds Your Gears?
and you don't have to meet someone in real life to know whether or not they're more open or close minded. After you talk with people for 1-2 years, they say what they believe, and if it's consistent, it furthers the evidence. You for example are prone to closing down a situation and not even trying due to "realism" and are willing to ignore the fact that there is a small chance to do things. And I'm not just refering to my mini series. You like to hide by playing video games. I like to hide by doing grand projects and not finishing them, and I try to hide from real people due to my distaste, and fear that I may dislike them even more if I hang around with them. And more importantly, I try to hide from myself
Re: What Really Grinds Your Gears?
Huh... That's surprisingly accurate. But the gaming part is common knowledge, and i bet you still dont know nearly as much as someone i've known for a year in real life would.

Re: What Really Grinds Your Gears?
well, i don't know all your daily habits, when you brush your teeth and whatnot, but that's irrelevant. But there are some people, what you would consider my "closest friends" if you will, who knew me for literally years, and didn't know I was Christian or religious at all for that matter. Something so simple that everyone here knows from like day 1, people in real life didn't
Re: What Really Grinds Your Gears?
perhaps it's the way you present yourself, if a muslim walked around in a jubah and tohpee you'd know hes muslim or arab (or terrorist if your paranoid) same way someone might say, oh ya wanna go for a movie on sunday or something and then you say sorry gotta go to church know whatta mean? If you've never mentioned to them that you don't do anything religious i don't think they'd be a close friend would they? or is that just me?

Re: What Really Grinds Your Gears?
No one on the forum would have figured out your religious until either: 1) Looking at some of the religious debates you have with people 2) You said something.. other than that, I wouldn't have picked up on the religious part unless you said something directly related to one religion or another.. No one would have guessed I was Wiccan either, so =/ It's all a matter of perspective..
Anyways, on to the part of the actual topic..
1) People that don't know what they are talking about.
2) ..... Girls that act very..... slutty to get their way.
3) Thingy... <.< sometimes...

Re: What Really Grinds Your Gears?
The only way I know of wiccans is from that Scooby-Doo movie.
Another thing that grinds my gears is people doing this:
Kid: Mom, can you buy me a 1500 dollar laptop for Christmas?
Mom: Sure.
Christmastime..
Kid: Where's my laptop?
Mom: I didnt buy you one. Im not wasting 1500 dollars.

Re: What Really Grinds Your Gears?
(So what do you guys (or girls) think of me?)
What gets me grinding my gears (or teeth)
1. My Father nagging me to clean my room
That's about all.

Re: What Really Grinds Your Gears?
i think, if your mother has raised you then you shouldn't be annoyed at her, parents go through a lot to raise kids, the only ones i hate are the ones that dump abuse their kids for good reason and thankfully my parents aren't like that

Um...... Oh yeah.... We all appreciate our mothers. Still, I often feel that I can't stand living another day in this house.
I just want to get out on my own, and live my life the way I want to live it all of the time.
Anyone else sympathize?

it's a teenager thing DJ. It's the coming of age time, that's all. It's natural.

I figured that.....
Still, it's a very interesting feeling.
Have you ever been tempted to get off of the island? Or do you fear the creatures of the forbidden forest?

People talking on the phone/texting while driving..
People that don't think of their child's safety above their own..
