We're addicted to sound!

We are addicted to sound! We are being exposed to jingles and artificial sounds so frequently that some are becoming more recognizable than the natural sounds we would be exposed to if we lived only a couple hundred years ago.

For an example, the intel jingle (Intel inside!) is right below a baby's laugh on the top 10 most recognizable sounds, which i find quite amazing. The intel jingle can be compared to the sound we have been hearing since the very first human was born. A sound that we are programmed to like.

So, what sound did you like the most, and what did you like the least?
My favorite was the ATM machine. I dont know why... It's just... Calming. Probably because i love money. Aaaaah... The smell of fresh notes...
My least favorite was the baby's laugh. Probably because i think children are incredibly annoying. I should probably go get myself checked for satanism... And maybe get a paternity test to see if i'm actually one of the devil's spawn...

I like the sound of teeth sinking into human flesh...erm, cough, I mean, yeah, baby laughs...cute

The intel one..... I get that stuck in my head all of the time!

Actually that sounds like my washing machine when it slows, then rocks to make the 'dum dum dum' sound.

The most reconizable: Windows XP booting sound.

I like the Mac boot-up sound. And the windows XP new driver detected sound. I also love the C Major chord

I use windows because my father already installed that. I heard Mac is better.
When I pull on my eraser too fast, it stretches as usual, then breaks and make a rubberband sound. PLIAK!!

I like talking into fans, hearing the wird sound, that is cool, i also do think that that Intel thing is just annoying, but it gets stuck in my head. But were i live there is a massive amount of birds now for some reason, through winter they diddny migrate that much.....Anyway i like the sound of them chirping, it is calming. i also like the sound of waves crashing on the beach.

I dislike the sound your flesh makes when it moves (move your sholder around for a mew minuets when you get really tired or your arm is sore)

I hate the sound of my alarm clock more than anything else in the world!

GRRRrrr!!!

For some reason, I'm scared of the ringing sound of my alarm clock. Good thing I have a beeping alarm in it. When it rings, I jump out of bed and my heart pumps very fast and want to turn it off. .

On my old alarm clock, I could create custom alarms. So, I recording myself making some sorta freaky pig squeal.

Scared me so bad every morning.... but it sure did wake me up.

Yeah, I changed it to just beep.
