New DoF

Since the Destiny of the Force was ended. I was thinking i would make new one, exactly the same. Well with a few changes. Added metals and stuff like that. Well, what do you all think?

Well, i have decided that i am making a trial version of the game and see how many of the old players join.

I will post a link. YOu dont have yo join its just for people who still want to play, it will star over from the beginning same stats and stuff, i am adding metals and ship fuel. An AI system will be worked out so no one gets in trouble for that

Well, i am making the Forum now, it should be done by tomarrow, but I will not post a link untill its done, I used some posts and images from the Old site. So all i am doing now is putting finishing touches. Like ships for sale and Tech level points and that. I dont know who all will be faction leaders

DF hasn't ended, well, technically its dead, for now. And I'll help you since your my friend, and I have LOTS of spare time. So, Borrego and Thing, why have you quit? Its nice to see you two again anyways.

I hate to break it to you, but NW will probably sap a lot of the more experienced players away from DOF, maybe not, I wish you luck in your new game. My advice for you would be for you to not play, but simply admin it, it will make your life much happier in the long run.

I probibly wont have to much time, i am working on a new flash game, Flash Trek 1.5 Dominion Wars, its using the Romulen Wars source code, since all we are doing is changing the sprites and the Menu.

heh heh, rom wars was where I first began to learn flash. It's a good little game that has potential, it's a pity Vex wouldn't go through and make something more along the lines of romwars, except make it much more advanced. But you're starting pretty much exactly where i started, changing the sprites on Romwars, it is the beginning of an interesting future

I too wish you luck. I advise that you get a second admin who you trust so you dont ban some of the more anoying players on their first mistake

Thats where I come in Leach, as usual, I serve as Co - Admin, and i'll fix your mistakes, and you do pretty good on the RP stuff. Its just the spelling, and grammar.

Hope you two have a good run with it...NW is going to be hard competition to beat... it offers the fan made base that DoF doesn't.

True, let the best RPG win, though i think that yours will seeming as the people on this forum know you more. But yes Nuchiha is usually my co-admin,as Nuchiha is really good at that. But also i Copied a system off of another site, its admin controled bar in the Charictor Sheet, you get 4 chances, unless you are new to the RP world. And based on how long it takes for that to run down difforent consiquences.

the thing with NW is that there is far more emphasis on the story, so there is a driving point, a common goal which I think will really give it a lot of attention. And yeah, like you said, NW has the benefit of bing here with a fairly large-ish community. I'll just let ou know it took months before DOF even caught on a little, so don't be too discouraged after several months of relative inactivity, it's normal

Yah, my site that i made the DF2, before i made a new first one, took along time before i got players that i dont know, and thats only 2 people

Well, the site is now going strong, i have 8 members, only 3 of them play

I have 2 accounts, 1 that i sue to play the game with and 1 that i use for doing admin stuff. so i dont cheat and look at the faction sections, same with the other 2 admins. And i have 2 players that i dont know, as in just found the site or were invited by someone

So that is 8 accounts but only 5 members........YAY anyone want to join now?

If you want a successful site, you're going to need some really good staff, and a lot of dedicated members.

Don't ask to advertise, cause they'll say no. Just put it into your sig, and that's all you can really do, unless you make a friendship with someone. In that case, a PM would be appropriate.

Branch out to other communities. For example, small gaming forums, and fan forums. Those are probably full of star wars nerds.

10 accounts, 6 of them are only 3 people, 3 of them have a second admin account so that they dont cheat during the game, so i know who has been on to cheat or not.....That makes....7 Users.

I have firefox, it runs super slow, EI is fast, but i now use netscape

FF should run just as fast as any of them if you use a basic skin.
