Custom PC

As I suppose most of you know, I'm having oodles of troubles with my current PC. Anyways, over these last few days, I've been tempted to build a custom PC, so I was wondering what people thought of this PC

well if you want to build a pc from parts i can help you because i made mine this way

It doesn't look bad as an actual computer, tbh.

if you want to build it yourself is best to start from scratch not using a already build pc

It is fun to build your own PC.

But, unless you're using used parts, it's going to be more expensive than just buying one from the store.

Oh, and the only thing I don't like about the one you're looking at is the fact that it doesn't give you a free upgrade to Windows 7 when it comes out.

My parents just bought a brand new laptop 2 weeks ago, (which BTW is AWESOME!) and over half of the computers at the store come with the free upgrade.

In my book, the free upgrade is a must.

all the PCs in store at staples come with the upgrade

i don't know, depends on if i have he moneys, i might wait until next year though to build a custom PC

20 gb ram
hdd: 5 tb
Vram : 5 gb
Intel Pentium 9 quadrupal-core
and a 16x16 monitor .

well, i don't have a model pref seeing as they all suck. but my stats would be around:

8-10 GB RAM
AMD Athlon Dual Core Processor (no less then 2.13 GHZ)
HDD between 500GB and 1TB
Nvidia 1 GB High Def Graphics Card
Blu Ray Drive
7.1 Surround Sound Audio Card
Hauppage WinTV Card
OS: Most likely Windows 7

because two is very expensive? and what is the purpose of two blu rays if i have one? i can only play one disk at a time anyways!

You can have a 1GB graphics card?? Puts my 16MB one to shame.

well the purpose of having tow blu-ray is the same as having a nuclear arsenal i mean just to show you can afford .

poor welsh people, don't eveb know 1GB graphic's cards exist. they're only a little over a hundred bucks too which is cool

Yeah, the blu ray player is stupid.

Actually, PC makers are beginning to taper down their orders for them, since no one cares about them.

I myself am completely anti-bluray. ANYTHING that tries to replace the regular old DVD is my enemy!

I do not want to have to restart my collection of movies!

same here thats why sony cant sell the ps3 as it only plays blu-rays and when you make your pc make sure to put a all in one card reader in it good for if you se the memory card on ya phone or camera

sheesh, i would've hated to see you if you'd grown up in the eighties! I on the other hand want blu-ray. i accept that this happens about every 5-10 years

Yeah... I just wish there was a magical button that changed all of my DVDs to Blu-ray. LOL

trust me in a few years there will be something new to replace blu-ray
