Review Sub sections

Me and DW have been talking about a new game reviews sub section in the gamer's café, and i thought this could be done to the movies and public literature section. But, the biggest problem is the interest, i dont know if any of you are interested in making literature reviews, or movie reviews (and i dont mean a one time review, i mean one every once in a while so it stays alive and interesting.). Choose an option in the poll and say why, even if you're not going to write any reviews or even look at the sections.

Personally, i could do an editorial for the gaming section as i do alot of gaming anyways. And i have a pretty good tool for that... (Metaboli FTW!And no, it's not piracy, it's a paid gaming service)

well, i do tend to write movie reviews here somewhat often anyways, but yeah, there could be requests and things like that, so people know what others think of a game, movie etc, and if they should (I know this idea will sound foreign to you all) want to buy it, whether they should or not

I would be interested in a music review section, obviously. Game review section I might look at every now and then to see if there's anything I might want to play.

I happen to hate pretty much all movies that come out these days, but I might look at the movie review section. DW knows what he's talking about, so I'll probably look at movies every so often.

Hehe, i knew you'd say that. And it's looking pretty good so far, we'v got no one who wouldnt be intersted, 2 that would look at the reviews and 3 that will make reviews and look at other reviews.

well boys if you wish this forum to have success you will need to attract people from different areas , not just star trek , i can help promote this forum , because i`ve done this before , the reviews are a good idea , if you want start making them , you should also start making to games and movies not released because people like to know thing before the actual game or movie appears for instance we have star gate universe , which will be launched this year , people on this forum might like to know things about it , and we should encourage game making , if need i will right tutorials for flashwars games , and reviews some of the games i played ( well some because i played over 500 games in my life ) , so in the end i say we should encourage anything that might grow this forum

how would we review movies or games that havent been released yet? unless one of us goes to some type of gaming convention i dont see anyone playing a game before its release.

Also, I would be willing to review software, which could be fitted into the productions & help section. There even could be 'flashtrek.motionsforum recommends'.

well i agree whit Shemuel , but the software should be free if we recommend it , it should cost money unless is there is no other substitute , and to respond to "A-BIack_Man" question there are many sites that make reviews for those games and movies , add this whit the trailers and demos and you have your own opinion about a game , and this opinion you can transform into a review which has a good quality , and we should be against torrents and those stuff sporting GPL and GNU software also if we add the freeware and abandonware games we have a very strong point from which we can start growing this forum into a 200+ active members

most of those sites with the reviews have either played it, or been to a place with a demo. those sites are made for gaming reviews, and have a review for every single game out there. this is a forum, not another IGN. we will most likely be recommending games amongst ourselves, but even so, i would like to see a review board.

well we should try to make review to people that aren`t members of this forum , this will attract new people , the diversity is the spice of live so diversifying this forum will increase the quality and new people will come

webxro, i'm not sure, i might need torrents for older games that arent sold anymore. But yes, this could grow the forum. We'd have to put up our reviews on other forums, or at least some of them so the readers will want to see the rest.

Also, games that arent released yet are reviewed using review only copies that are reserved for the top reviewers and review sites. We're never going to make it to that list.

well we can view trailers and demos , and read those reviews to make a better review , and we can also grow grow in other fields , once we have a stable flash game platform ( like bm III or flashwars ) we can help others to make there own games , and to put them here ( maybe getting exclusivity ) changing a few spirites isen`t that hard .

To put it plainly webxro, don't get your hopes up of us becoming renowned for reviews.

i don`t i just say we should expand our area , and make extensive tutorials on how to edit BM so that more people will come , the reviews are just a way to expand , there are many more fields , like technical help and others , and we should make a smaller address using .tk or cc.co domains because is free and nice

we don't have .tk any more. Motionsforum probably dropped it as it was expensive.

is FREE if you haven`t read what i said , but the domain needs 15 clicks a mouth the avoid domain holding ( in other words they need us to access the domain we ma to make sure we use it ) more detailed stuff on http://www.dot.tk/en/index.html?lang=en

i've been toying with making this flashtrek.ca, we'd get a lot more popularity with a real domain name. also, do remember I can screen movies before their release, usually only by a day at most, but still, I'm fairly accurate in trailer assessment as well, so I have experience for that, and hey, I just have a nack for movies (I'd have to have one if I plan to become a film director!)

i think i would set it up as a forum under the general category, and this forum would have three sub-forums, each one for a different category

well hear my advise i was forum admin and i know what i am talking ( or i don`t know ) after making the sub-forums you should make a mega-tread in the general forum whit links to all the reviews on all categories , in that tread we should have the first few post made by the mod ( or admin) that keeps the mega-tread so that he will never meet a lack a space to post .

well yeas they should , and i don`t mean to offend anyone but the human stupidity is huge and some people wont find a thing even if that thing is in the first tread , they make a new tread asking where to find it , but back to the point , a well organized forum is a nice one .

i am not saying that i am saying that humans in general can be very stupid and annoying , if you consider the forum members humans yes you are right , but one thing is clear we need to have a well organized review section and a mega-tread is one idea because very good reviews won`t be on the first 10-20 reviews and if we have new members they will make post asking where is it , or make double reviews so what i am proposing is the only way to keep people from double reviewing thing , of course they can still double review thing but this way they wont do it by mistake

Erm.... What? Are you serious? Last time i checked, we didnt do reviews for retards/ braindead/ dead people. I'm sure most people will be able to find it considering that it's organized into sub sections in one primary section (the reviews section) and any normal person (no retardation, diseases or anything like that) cant find it, he/she isnt welcome here.

well this sounds a bit discriminating , but if you can keep the review section well organized i agree whit you, but if not just make a big thing whit link to all treads

there's no point to that though. see reveiews would be a whole forum section lik general, public lit, general music etc, and we don't have links to all the threads in there in the general section, it's a waste of space and time, as that is the purpose of the sections.
