well... I don't know if he was talking only about the chief or all humans, but my understanding of the test is that he was talking about all humans...

no just about the chief all humans are decendants of forerunners but the chief is more forerunner than the rest of humanity

Still wanna know why... in principle, the SPARTANS are genetically enhanced humans... right? So, they arent supposed to more near the Forerunners than the other Humans...

Besides, in that article, it is told that the Covenant started this holy war agains mankind because they were the descendents of the remaining Forerunners, and that was against all their religion...

What does Stargate have to do with this? I know there are a few similarities, but... I don't see it...

Any way... Guilty-Spark said we are the Forerunner descendents... which also scared the Covenant, with the fear that, if ever that information was revealed, it would wreac avoc their religion...

Well, I have a random Halo fact that I don't know where it goes..

Even if all the Halo rings fired, Earth would be spared. One of the forunners built the teleporter to the Ark on Earth because of it's distance from the devestating power of the Halo installations. =) So as long as humanity defended Earth, they would be safe. Don't know where I read this anyway

no earth is within the renge of the halo rings just that humans on earth have more of a chance surviving it

Oh? How so? It was never tested and proven, and I think I read that either on the Halo wiki or from one of the books I happened to get my hands on.

Well, there won't be any Halo activation... But there will be something awesome...

1 Humantity would better survive the flood if thats what you mean by attacking, because if you look in the Firdt Halo(The one i have Combat Evolved)The humans weapons did alot of more damage.
2 There is no way the flood could get on there ships
3 i do remember the computer guy in the level, "The Library", and in
"343 Guilty Spark" about how they survived this long and he was surprised, but i remember Cortana on the level with theControl Room in it speeking of how the rings were huge weapons that if activated, wich this one was, they could destroy whole planets, with 1 shot.
4 The rings were also very vunerabe by 1, self destruct something huge bye bye ring, 2 Initiate self destruct from the control room, 3, destroying all of the power supplies, and 4, killing the computer.
But if you look at how much the Covanant are entrenched on the rings, you would thing they made them, even by looking at the controls on there ship and in the control room, they are the same, also it does look like on the 3rd level when you go to there ship, it looks as if the turrain was made as a landing spot for the ship.

Well, if the Monitor (that's the name of the floating pc with a blue center) was destroyed, it would be built another one with the same personality...

And the halo array would destruct any form of life capable of sustaining the Flood... not the planets itself... a bit like the replicator weapon but for living beings...

Well that still dosent explain how the covenant were so entrenched(they could not be so entrenched because they just descovered it) and why the technolagy on the halo and in there ship is the same, w/ the acception that the innstallations look more like the human ship 'Pillar of Autumn"

Well... it might be because the covenant copied all the technology from the Forerunners...

I am talking about the First game, they only descovered the new technology the same thime the humans did.

If you checked Halo Wars related articles, you would see that they are in contact with Forerunner techs much longuer than Humans do...

well that explains why the halo is fireing at the ship in the firsy game.

The Forerunners looked more human than alien, with the Monitor dubbing Master Chief as "The Reclaimer". That is one thing you pick up in the first game.

well the covanent could be so entrenched due the the number of spacecraft. if youu have like 2 ships with hundreds on landing craft and such, transporting troops in a short amount of time wouldnt be such a problem

Well, the 'out of range' theory would make sense... They activated the rings to destroy the flood, but if the humans were immune to the ring, than why didn't the forerunners just make themselves immune? The problem is, 343 Guilty Spark said that if activated it would destroy everything within something or other radii of the galactic center. It would kill everything. Everywhere. In the galaxy. Also, the entire human race aren't descendants of the forerunners, they're more of a legacy.

Probably it was because we were not sentient beings. If this happened a million or so years ago. But if it happened say less than 200,000 years ago then yeah we would probably be out of range unless we were still not sentient back then.

alright first off the master cheif forrunner connection idea in my own opinion is the circle of life get it humans could only use the tech no aliens meaning humans might become the forunners without knowing then eventually flood come and over and over again
