Even on windows 7 you can have a BSOD... Even the Mac's have their versions of BSOD's... Only Unix-based OS don't have BSOD's...

If it's microsoft, it can have something of death. It's that simple. Either a RROD or a BSOD.

Linux has its screens of death.

Apparently, windows first had a black screen of death, then blue. It also had a red screen for Vista, until Bill Gates went colourblind.

I'm on vista.
All i have had so far is the vista pissing me off by always uninstalling things, lagging for no reason, failing at installing its own updates, screen glitches, moving its own programs and just generally breaking everything posssible on it to wii me off.
I wonder when that lovely BSOD is going to jump out at me...

Well, when my USB controllers were mad, whenever I inserted a USB device with memory storage capability (an external hard drive or a pen drive), it showed the BSOD for like one tenth of a second, and then the computer would shut down...

Windows is evil...
My XP uninstalls all sound software whenever i plug anything into it.

I think they should actually forget nukes, flying BSODs are far more affective.

That's an excellent idea... Using Microsoft Windows as a Virus!

Imagine "Independence Day" with windows 95 instead of that virus:
They install the virus on the alien mothership's computers, then the aliens try to input some instructions... Since alien keyboards aren't standard Windows-compatible issue, as soon as they pressed any key, blue screens popping out everywhere...

Lol
...the alien ship is converted into a BSOD, which then turns the other ships into BSODs. Now with a fleet, it leaves Earth, a universe to destroy.

Sounds worse then Terminators.

Indeed... but I only had BSOD's on Vista and 7 because I had a few incompatible drivers inside my pc (I think it was my printer and my graphic card), but I never let the pc on enough time to found out... I only discovered when I read a error report saying: Your system has just recovered from a Blue Screen Of Death... But on XP I never have a BSOD! NEVER!

You play Crisis in the maximum settings in Dx10 Mode? You run heavy productivity programs, like Adobe Creative Suite? Do you run at least 14 programs, hava a virtual drive filled with an DVD anti-virus, anti-spyware, firewall (not windows, but Comodo) and play a game at the same time you hear music?

I do very straining things on this.
Yes, i run Crysis (Warhead, Vista broke Crysis) on max settings in DX10, I even have the ultra Mod and it runs fine, I run simulations a lot, I use a lot of modification tools, adobe programs (I have all but flash), Steam, and just generally a whole load of other crap.

But i don't have 14 on at the same time. Mainly because i have no need too.

Warhead has lower max definitions than Crysis because of that... pc's couldn't handle with Crysis graphics at max, so they though they should reduce the definitions a little bit...

And the 14 at the same time, I mean... loaded on memory... Like those simbols at the notification tab... Here's my list:

ZD Soft Game Recorder
Deamon Tools Lite
Ad-Aware
uTorrent
Ati Catalist Control Center
Comodo Firewall
Windows Live Messager
Panda Cloud Antivirus
Styler
and the others I had to remove from the MS Config or the pc would take an eternety to load up...

Pretty remarkable, hum?
