I believe the new look of the forum should be entirely based on Star Trek XI, as that would attract the newfans...

Yeah, great idea. We could turn this into a star trek fan community to replace the members we'd lose if we removed the flashtrek from the name. It could be like half star trek fan site and half normal community site.

keep in mind that flashtrek is in the forum's address. and it should be all trek, but no emphasis on any part of it. maybe we could make a section that has trek tos,tng,ds9,movies, ect.

i have to agree. guys, why aren't we all taking it a bit more slow? we don't want to suddenly do a full 360 here. that would be bad.

But on a more serious note, make changes as time goes on. For example, in the past, we've warned people about breaking rules when sometimes they haven't really done that much of a big thing to warrant warnings or bans. So instead, adjust the forum accordingly to allow for leeway.

Changing the forum name and graphics is needed. This forum's main focus used to be the development of BM3. He has either completely given up on the project or is going to continue it but post it somewhere else, we cant use that as a main focus anymore. So we can use ST as the new main focus and the beta BM2 and 3 versions as a side.

Not many may focus on trek, but understand that without some sort of coherent draw like that it's hard for a forum to survive.

OK, what I meant was about the LOOK of the forum, I wasn't trying to make you turn this into a completely new thing... I don't want to waste what we already have of the forum. What I meant was that if we change the look of the forum, to look more XIish (more JJish, if you want), it'll attract the newfans, I'm not talking about total mayhem of the forum, that'd be as bad as deleting it (That's a joke, Darkwing, I don't want any misunderstandings...), I'm only talking about some marketing work...

Invision is so much better! It's what my forum is. Whenever I'm on a phpbb forum, even phpbb3, I feel like I'm in the nineties...

And invision will allow for so much more customized design. And the admin controls are much more straightforward.
