help a newbie

heyas i just got the flash cs4 trial. if anyone can help a complet noob that has absaloutley no knowledge of flash it would be greatly appriciated

well, the best way to help is by me asking you what do you want to do with it?

what about looking at the blog?

something basic that could adapt to anything later on, although im very inclined to making games

what style, some basic arcade games or something?

unless your going for a type of strategic type game, which can be a bit difficult, i suggest go for arcade games first,v but first, learn how to make games...

something like a 2d street fighter style game

there are plenty of tuts on the net, it's usually a matter of typing in "how to make ... in flash"

the best way is learn how to do it in parts, as i find very few good tuts on making whole games. so for instance, just reasearch how to make a character move, learn it and store for later. then learn how to make enemies, then learn how to make a health system etc. you'll get a much better idea of what actionscript means if you search for it in parts.
