I remember last year we had the old riddles sections and i think the time is ripe to start again so here goes

A man lives on the twelfth floor of an apartment building. Every morning he takes the elevator down to the lobby and leaves the building. In the evening, he gets into the elevator, and, if there is someone else in the elevator -- or if it was raining that day -- he goes back to his floor directly. Otherwise, he goes to the tenth floor and walks up two flights of stairs to his apartment.

Tom and his younger sister were fighting. Their mother was tired of the fighting, and decided to punish them by making them stand on the same piece of newspaper in such a way that they couldn't touch each other.
How did she accomplish this?

Of course! Any one with half a brain could do that one. I would laugh at someone who got it wrong. And laugh. And laugh. And laugh.

We had that riddle before. The newspaper could also be under a locked door, with a kid on either side.

And yes, looks as if the location is the answer.

ok, new riddle.

A man and a boy make a bet. The boy will get fifty dollars if he says his age, while the man will get fifty dollars if he guesses wrong. In the end the boy gets fifty dollars. How is that?

The boy guessed the man's age correctly? Duh? Hellooo?

The man used to be blind; he's now returning from an eye operation which restored his sight. He's spent all his money on the operation, so when the train goes through a tunnel he at first thinks he's gone blind again and almost decides to kill himself. Fortunately, the light of the cigarettes people are smoking convinces him that he can still see.

When you say "Says his age", it doesn't specify who's age. It could be the boy's.

Also, maybe the man's subconscious said, bet 50 dollars because it was his age.

No you were WRONG!! and I shouldn't have changed the riddle. The fact that he needs to say his age is important.

Does the boy actually win the bet? You just said gets 50 dollars. You should be more specific in these kinds of things. You'd make a crap lawyer.

I'll give you the answer. He says "his age". That is how the boy wins the fifty dollars.

Somebody come up with a new riddle!!

A man lived on a tall house by the sea shore. Every night he would go to turn off the light and come back to sleep. One day he woke up, had a cup of coffee, read the newspaper, and killed himself. Why?

He forgot to turn of the light and something happened as a result?

did he read that too much caffine was gonna kill and he decided to end quickly?

The house is a lighthouse and the man is the lighthouse keeper?

i bet that is it lol, his house is a lighthouse and he forgot to turn of the light a ship didnt realise that it was night and it kept its lights of then it crased!!!!!!!!!!

But the light from a lighthouse is used to ward off ships at night, so there must be some subtlety somewhere.

What, so because he doesn't turn the light off, a ship crashes? That makes little to no sense.
