I've heard of it. It's supposed to be the next facebook, but yeah, i don't keep up to date on social trends well. my internet community is really small, pretty much contained to this forum.

I don't either.Haven t found them appealing since MSN (irony of initials) gave me a virus.

I dont think it will be the next facebook. it hasent taken off here so I ant gonna bother with it.

yeah, well things take off in north america quite a bit quicker and sooner than other places in the world a lot of times. we're always going through the next big rage here, it doesn't stop!

we do that aswell but twitter just never really got into the youth. so yea it kinda failed in that area so its not gonna move facebook.

i'm not going to say it will or won't, but it's taking off like wildfire here, and if it becomes big enough in north america, you can almost be certain it will take off in places like NZ not long after

Gosh, in America we even get a lot of music before people in other countries do.

Well, it's not that we get it faster, but we hear it sooner on the radio than people in other places.

north america is a society totally built on mass media. it controls us and tells us what to do, what to like, when to like it. mass media exists everywhere in the world, but it's stronger here, that's why things appear to happen quicker on this side of the planet, it's because it's being pushed all of the time so that somebody can make more money and rip somebody else off

i'll take your word for it. i haven't heard of anything coming from new zealand, but the media warps things so much here that now you don't know where anything comes from

well we get some music first on the edge. thats because its a radio station that has a moto thingy of "new music first".
but we tend go crazy for anything new the iphone was anticlimax for us here. we are a lil bored with apple now.

it was a big thing but now its more a yr 9 and 10 girl thing so the older lot ( my age) are going for the cheaper stuff. apple is just fasion here.

see, north america is run by fashion. if it don't look cool, people won't by it, and if it's not "in", people won't buy it. why do you think we're in a recession

here we have on normal ( non freeveiw ) we have tv one, 2, 3, C4 (music chanell) and prime.
freeveiw is the new digital tv network it has'nt really caught on. but tvnz is goverment owned so the news is really news.

i have sky.20 good channels, 1000+ ones full of bollocks.lucky me.

I know that. ( may have used it on occasion) but anyways us new zealanders love music. basshunter for example came in and went out in about 3 months. now its taylor swift. but if she dont bring out a album we is gonna lose interest.

Facebook seems to be far more versatile

I agree although I have never used twitter. I only know one person on it though.
