well, i'm currently writing this from the PC on the left of my desk, while on the right of my desk a brand new 2.2Ghz dualcore 2GB RAM PC with 22 inch flatscreen is looking all shiney and awesome.
one problem though... Can't find a driver for my wireless, so no internet yet.

and oh, an XP driver managed to fix it! jay, those words are written from my new PC!
aargh. vista is DUMB. it asks stuff every minute. i'd rather disable firefox' popup blocker than have that bull.
and oh yeah, the screen resolution of this 22 inch monitor scares me to death! i can actually see the individual pixels from the stretched background on this site...

um, two things, vista does not suck, xp does, and two, this background isn't stretched. i designed it at the highest monitor resolution that i could find

uh, M, you do know that servimg is the host for all the pics here, and most of them are pngs. and the background looks fine to me, i don't see anything wrong with it

Try to mess a bit on bios... change the 1st boot drive to the dvd drive, reboot the pc with the cd inside, and then you got it... btw... ubuntu is the one with better reviews atm...

C. it doesn't know the drive... it asks for a driver which i don't have
EDIT: turns out that vista already has a partitioning program of it's own... testing out ASAP (that is, in an hour when i get back from school)

hey DW, i actually looked at the screenshot on the school PC, and the blockyness doesn't show there...
HOWEVER... that may possibly be because of the fact that that screen is normally sized, which is, almost twice as small as my own screen.

oh, no it's a prob with your monitor i'm afraid. this thing is bigger than your monitor, and it wasn't stretched, resampled or anything. your going to have to take the facts that it's your monitor, and there's nothing i can do about that

um, they're two different ones. the starry background on this one is created by using a noise filter, perhaps you're misinterpreting that as distortion, i don't know, but i doesn't look blocky, that's for certain.
