and it's awesome! much faster than 2, though yesterday it was so slow i used a different browser to go on here lol. anyway, now it finally has gotten fast and i am enjoying it.

I might partition my hard drive. I know it's risky, so what do you think the chances of my hard drive dieing are?

Is it worth the risk?

Believe it or not, I've never partitioned a hard drive before.

(Haven't got around to it yet, I suppose)

How about I just defrag my hard drive, and use the built in partitioner on one of the linux live cds?

NOOO! that is something completely different. think of it as taking out the HD and putting two HDs back with the same capacity put together, without physically touching it.
