what do you mean by "comets"?they are mostly remnants of failed planets drifting about space.some of them might have even drifted here from another solar system, or only just formed.

umm not realy but a comet can exist for no more than 10,000 years. if earth was older than 10,000 years then well think about it how do we have comets?

and also carbon dateing becomes rather inaccurate after about 6000 years. what else oh yea uranium yes that is a agrument I have encountered before. well we can only figure that out by an estimate.

and erosion. well there was a thing called a world wide flood. think about it a flood dose massave amounts of erosion.

what do you mean by "but a comet can exist for no more than 10,000 years"?What happens after that, do they have a heart attack?they only cease to exist when something forces them to, like a sun or black hole.and carbon dating isnt innacurate, how else do they know when dinosaurs where around?and what about a world wide flood?when did that happen?

There's also the problem of light. We can see light from distant galaxies that are, well, more than 10,000 light years away. If the universe it not older than 10,000 years, how does this happen?

exactly.the universe is at least 4.5 billion years old, as that is when the earth went from a random comet into a molten rock and slowely progressed from there.

D. shells on the everest. of course, DUH. the everest is the result of two tectonic plates colliding. these plates once have been a sea bed, but due to the collidion they have been pushed up 8 kilometer. in fact, they're still growing

B.The earth is actually 4.54 billion years old and the sun is around 4.57, so your not far off.

B.yeah basically, but i was to lazy to post more than one number after the comma Razz

G. hmm, i can add more to this: the whole Netherlands is a product of erosion. do you see any mountains or grand canyons here? no. the highest the Netherlands can get is 321 meter. or just about 1000 feet. basically i'm living, sleeping, eating and walking on what was once a bit of alps.
