Absence for pc wacks!
I'm in my cousins pc and I came here to say that I won't be here for a long time (and to try out the BMIII) Well, 2 day ago, my pc got wacko! No net, wasn't capable of instalation or unistaling anything, warnings about system lacks 5 in 5 minutes and the ubuntu just didn't started of, so, I was forced to format my entire hard drive!
So, most probably until day 5 of January I wont be here...
See you next year (maybe I will be here for a few more hours)...

Reinstall Ubuntu.
Re: Absence for pc wacks!
That's what I did now! (I need to stop underestimating myself) The problem was that the pc didn't botted with the cd, because: My primary boot device was a floppy disk! But then I changed it to my cd drive and now everything is ok!

we'll just change that to Vista. 2000, sure maybe no bluescreen, the pc would just shut down, if you could even get it to boot up. and tell me about software failures...

I think ED has a Mac in his work place...

Re: Absence for pc wacks!
Ah, you might find the GNOME desktop environment quite delightful.
I suggest trying it.
I believe every man should be able to feel the power between his legs at least once, brother!
Note: You can quote me on that LOL!
You know, you can burn a live disk of Ubuntu so that you can try it out.
(You pop in the live disk, and boot it up on startup, have fun with Ubuntu, turn off computer, and then everything is windows happy again. Nothing gets hurt. No explosions of Windows, and fun stuff.)
