IDEA!

How about we give planets a built in "planetary defense"?
Example:
If you fire at a planet, it shoots back.
Mabe we could give it a torpedo launcher, or something.
But, we could make the torpedoes stronger than regular torpedoes.
I'm just thinking out loud.
I know we're all focusing on BM2 right now, but I wanted to throw that idea out there, before I forgot about it.

anyone would of thought of that long ago...
anyways yes its a nice idea!
but it makes things a bit harder, graphics, lag, plus wouldnt that mean the planet will become a sprite[a sprite that shoots] isnt that right?

the idea is good as most planet wouldnt just send ship to attack and when you own a planet you should be able to buy better weapons for it

I've been thinking about exactly that for a while now... there are uncountable episodes in TOS when a enemy planet uses planetary phaser banks to destroy the enterprise...

Yea a planetry system would be great
planetety phasers are a good idea but also shields
or a repulsor beam from TNG i cant remember the planet name
Or even a secret fleet like what was planed for BM2
with a hero ship E.G. The Enterprise (NCC1701-D)

didnt you know darkjedi that I thuoght of that idea loooooooooooooonnnnnggggg ago but didnt post it, why? because i thought the idea was posted[i think], or it was posted and rejected...
