The game's title...

Hey, Jerome, is "When Universes Collide" going to be the game's title?

I had an idea yesterday of something like:

1. StarCrash
2. SpaceCrash

but I seriously prefer the first one...

And you could use "When Universes Collide" as a subtitle...


(Just a suggestion, though)

Personaly, my favourite is SpaceCrash, but that is not my option, is Jerome option.

I had watched Star Trek VI before starting this, and thought of 'Undiscovered Countries' as being an appropriate title because:

1) Technically, this is all taking place in the Star Trek universe, just all the other universes suddenly merging with it, and
2) Those other universes are sort of 'undiscovered countries' to each other.

Ahh... Undiscovered Countries.... Not bad, but SpaceCrash is undoubtly cooler, and you want an attractive name, don't you???

i like undiscovered countries better. no offense to raffitz, but spacecrash makes me think of some cheap 70/80's sci-fi kitbash episode that absolutely sucked.

Yeah, me too.

SpaceCrash does sound 'cooler' but a little more like some side-scrolling shooter rather than a complex and totally kick-a** strategy/action game as FlashTrek. Besides, I don't think FlashTrek: 'SpaceCrash' would really sound right... It needs to have a trek name, since it is in the trek universe (if it wasn't, I'd have to deal with Vex's wrath as the game engine was built for the trek universe and not any others, and I'm trying to stay as true to Vex's originality as possible!)

This could ultimately become the sixth 'episode' of FlashTrek (not Broken Mirror, but flashtrek in general). Like the sixth movie, the title sounds best as 'FlashTrek: The Undiscovered Countries' Call me a traditionalist in that fashion, I guess XD But I'm more than willing to use Raffitz's style now that I had some time to mull it over =D

Here is the order of my favourite names (if I had to call one of those):
0 - Flash trek: the Undiscovered countries
1 - Undiscovered Countries
2 - Space Crash
3 - Star Crash

(The bigger the worse)

well, i wouldn't consider it flaming, it was just my opinion, doesn't mean it's the right opinion, but it's what i thought, that's all.

i just thought up some new game titles:
1. Worlds collide (like a shortened version of the origional title)
2. Missing In Action (this would be best if you were a captain who arrived unexpectedly)
3. Power Struggle
4. Duty Calls (if you have to defend a civ)
5. Direct Intervention
6. Galactic Tension (doesnt sound right to me)
7. Breaking point
8. Galactic chaos: a war began

thats all i can think of for now.

Ooh, I like the sounds of some of those, particular Breaking Point. I think I may just make a mod of my mod later and name it that, cause right now I like my title and am too stubborn to change the title XD (and don't volunteer, I'm still keeping the title for now!)

But as I said, those are some really good names, ED! I should give you your own ship in the game or something XD

Well, I think this topic has served it's purpose. Good to hear everybody's ideas, but for now the title remains. But if I ever make any expansions or mods-of-the-mod, I'll keep those names in mind!
