E-Mail Clients Empty E-Mail Clients

Post by Darkwing 2011-08-13, 14:35

Ok, so does anyone else have a problem with e-mail? Like I can never get my e-mail accounts to work. Primarily its the Yahoo one (which is a terrible e-mail to begin with) but I have all my e-mails in this Mac Mail Client which works, except not so well with like Gmail and Yahoo. I mean for how long e-mail's been around, you'd think they would have ironed out the wrinkles by now

E-Mail Clients Empty Re: E-Mail Clients

Ah, email, what a mess. I don't use a desktop-based client, partly because of bandwidth use, but mainly that I don't want it readily available when my computer gets raided.

I've got a couple of addresses for different uses, such as a Shemuel one.

GMail is the hub of my email. My original email address (attached to our first ISP) was an AOL one, and I import it and my subsidiary two Gmail addresses into one main GMail account.

I now have a uni email address. It steadfastly refuses to be imported into GMail, so it's out on its own.

GMail 1
- Gmail 2
- Gmail 3
- AOL

Uni

I don't have a problem with GMail, but what confuses things is the IMAP/POP3 difference. I still don't really get it. I fix up my parents' email in a different setup, and the mind boggles at what can happen.

Don't get me wrong, I like Mail, however it's these webmails that don't seem to like to be overly compatible with it. Though my ReviewStop email works just fine in this client
