Trafficshare Tuesday - Weekly Update
June 14th 2011

Welcome to another Trafficshare Tuesday! This week we have a bunch of new things happening everywhere with lots of nice little goodies from around the sites! One of the main updates is that there is now another person working on the Trafficshare updates! We'd like to welcome Kati who has taken it upon herself to help out in keeping sites updated and interacting with them on a one on one level!
Trafficshare Announcements
We've added a new site, The Gathering, to TrafficShare! We're very excited to our new addition, and I know that I look forward to getting to know the people there and RPing there. Please continue to be on the lookout for new sites that might be interested, and let Honor ( honor@blueplanetrp.com) or Darkwing (chrisacameron@ymail.com) know. We'd love to add even more sites!
Last week, we mentioned that a vote was taking place to name these weekly updates, and the name "Trafficshare Tuesday" won. So starting this week, keep your eyes open for Trafficshare Tuesday!

Section 31 Roleplay
Section 31 Roleplay is primarily a RPG-X Based Group, onto which we
roleplay on our 2 servers. We are a group of people aiming to create a
welcoming environment, onto which our officers can relax and enjoy their
time. We do not wish to burden anyone with lots of responsibilities, or
make them feel like they are not wanted, as everyone in our community
is!
Battlestar Valfreyja
Welcome to The Battlestar Valfreyja, BS-03. Have you got what it takes
to defend your 12 colonies against the Cylon threat. if you have. Enlist
aboard Virgon's own. See you at boot camp Nugget!.
Section 31 has recently transferred to a VPS where our operations have become so much better. We are launching a new Live-RP Series soon. Log onto Section 31 for more news coming soon! Also, our 1 year anniversary is in July and we have lots of events planned. So stay tuned for more info on the festivities!
Flash Trek: The Unofficial Forum
FT:TUF is a general site for sci-fi fans and a home away from home for many. Starting out as a basis for the Broken Mirror 3 flash game, FT:TUF has since expanded to become much more than just a sci-fi forum!
This week we hope to open our new RP "Unity of Light." In the Land, many races have lived, existing in their own territories, not having worked together for centuries. However, when things seem to be normal, a darkness begins to sweep the Land, extinguishing all of the light. For the first time in years, the armies and peoples of the Land must join together to fight the oncoming darkness!
All are welcome to join the RP, simply log onto FT:TUF and register your character!
The Gathering
The Gathering is a haven for sci-fi fans alike. Not limited to one universe, the Gathering encourages everyone to join together to partake in its RPs and general discussion and sometimes even projects! It's not just Star Trek or Star Wars, this is our own world!
The Gathering is the newest addition to the Trafficshare system and because of such is quite new to Trafficshare and Blue Planet in general. Register an account at the Gathering to join in the Avalon RP or help introduce them to the other sites on the Trafficshare system!
Blue Planet General Update
A few new things have occurred at Blue Planet this week, namely more on the server change. Improvements have been made to the speed and functionality of the website since its server change. We are still experiencing problems with PMs however and some easy tricks to reading PMs are to either scroll down to below where the message should be so that you can see the history, or hit reply and then scroll down to the history. We also now have a new MOD installed which allows an instant preview of how the message should look once posted. On top of that there are new RP ideas looking for interest so please, log in and post your say and help start up some new RPs!
Creative Suite
This week, for Creative Suite, we'd like to feature Destral. He's a new member, so we're still in the process of getting to know him, but he was kind enough to post up some of his art. My particular favorite is "Shades of Purple".
His other projects can be found in his Creative Suite, Destral's Discoveries. Clicky and enjoy- and be sure to tell him what you think! Every artist loves feedback.
The Water Cooler
How to Jump Into an RP
One of those things that can always be frustrating or pose a challenge to players new and old, is joining a pre-existing RP. So what's the best way to go about doing this? This week at the Water Cooler, the members of Blue Planet got together to discuss and formulate a guide to joining pre-existing RPs. The final guide hasn't been compiled yet, so you can check out what we have in the how to join an RP thread and also post your ideas and experience. Once the guide is complete, a copy will be sent to all of our Trafficshare partners to help everyone be able to jump into RPs!
RP Updates
There are some exciting updates regarding some of the RPs this week! First off, Stargate Atlantis is now finally open and the gameplay has already commenced! On another note, we are looking to create a potentially massive RP. In short, it would be a livable universe which would be Blue Planet itself! There is much along the ideas for this RP, but one of its primary goals is to get everyone involved. You can check out the discussion thread here.
Current RPs
Stargate Command
Stargate: SG-1 alternate reality. Archeology, science, and military
types alike must work together for the exploration of the universe and
the protection of our planet. Gear up, head out, and kick some alien
tale! Or make friends with them. Just survive to protect Earth and
return home.
SG-1 (this time consisting of Tristan Avalon, Robert Hutchison, Jonathon Tennis and Tegan Radley/Saeda) steaalthily boarded Aurora's ship, finding presumed KIA former SG-1 Captain Sandy Howards. They've now ringed down to tne planet, and have Aurora captured. Meanwhile, on base, characters are dealing with various side projects.
Omega Base
The next generation of Stargate personnel travel to the Frontier Galaxy.
A new galaxy, new worlds, new cultures, and new enemies. What
adventures awaits the new generation of SGC personnel? Are you up to
the challenge?
Atlantis
The Pegasus Galaxy. The Lost City. New dangers await our Stargate teams
as they become the resident caretakers of the City of the Ancients. New
friends, new faces, new dangers, and a whole lot of new territory.
The city is in an imposed blackout in hopes that they will stay hidden from the Wraith a little longer. Corrine Ranshaw is currently locked in a cell, branded a traitor. Her husband, Jake Arctic, is decidedly not happy about it. Meanwhile, Lauryl Mossiva-Artic is pregnant with twins.
Darkwing Continuum
Existence itself is being threatened! With a dark and ancient threat
finally coming to light, secrets will be revealed and sides determined.
The pillars of the universe are about to fall and the only thing that
stands in the way of space being destroyed, is the crew of the
Darkwing...
Pillars of the Universe is currently on its fourth episode. This episode is intended to be the climax of the story arc with Episode V being the epilogue. The crew of the Darkwing are currently scattered, confused and lost as the third pillar has been destroyed. With the deaths of several characters, Simon Rivers and the mysterious girl by the name of Dawn, face a difficult choice, one that could determine the fate of existence. With the ship's warp core going critical, Jean and Tim have to rush to save the ship before it explodes, killing everyone on it. Beneath them, a post-apocalyptic planet, one in which Temple and an alternate version of Rivers are trapped on with no knowledge of what's happening in the sky above them.
DW:C is currently experiencing a bit of a slump in activity, despite that, we are always looking for new people to become involved in the ever thickening plot!
Solar Exodus
Set in the future where mankind has been forced to leave Earth after a
dying sun begins destroying the solar system. Take your place amongst
humanities last survivors, journey far into space and see how far your
‘humanity’ keeps you safe with Wolves as your only saviors...
Annals of Lystra
Horses. Knights. Damsels in distress. Life in the huts, or life in the
palace? You decide. Take up residence in Lystra, under King Karel's
rule, and try to make a life for yourself. That is, of course, if you
manage to survive disease and rogue Warriors.
The Christian Crusade
Join Jake McCormick and the Crusade, Christians against the evils of
this Universe. Demonic forces are attacking all around - it is the
Redemption's job to lead the physical war. But they also understand a
much deeper purpose and strength than your average futuristic battle for
life.
After much waiting, the crew of the Redemption has finally made it to Allusia. Expecting the worst, Jake McCormick has sent down a secretive landing party to investigate what is actually going on at Allusia. In an unexpected twist however, Jake and his team are invited to Allusia. Now taking the tour of the seemingly peaceful and utopian planet, they are suddenly being taken to the darkest area of the planet and as fear and tension rises, the question remains... what will they find?
Star Wars: Rebellion
People are chafing under Imperial Rule, and war is on the horizon. Maybe
you're a Jedi in hiding. Maybe you're a simple farmer, who decided to
join the fight. Maybe you're a diplomat, working the Rebellion
underground. You get to choose!
Caleb had to rescue Cassie the baby pockpicket when one of her previous victims recognized her and took issue with her. Cheya stepped in and decellerated the tense situation, allowing the others to meet and begin talking. An explosion just went off, and everyone is running towards it to find out what happened and how they can help.

Overall an exciting week with lots of new things brewing and ready to explode! Remember anyone can start up an RP on Blue Planet so long as you have several other members interested in playing! We would also encourage you to become an active member of our Trafficshare partners, especially popping in and joining the Gathering to help get them on their feet regarding Trafficshare.
