Canada: Behind most of the 3rd world

That pretty much means the end of Uncapped internet in Canada. Fucking NIGERIA has better internet than CANADA. NIGERIA. IN AFRICA. WHERE MORE THAN HALF THE POPULATION IS FAAAR BELOW THE POVERTY LINE.

I'm not Canadian, but even i fucking RAGE when i see this. I mean, they're not even trying to disguise their absolutely massive greed anymore. I mean do you know a single ''basic'' or even ''basic to mid luxury'' good that charges ONE HUNDRED FUCKING TIMES THE PRODUCTION COST? I mean, do you think buying a PS3 for 30,000 Euro is reasonable? Or selling it for that much? Or a small notebook for a hundred Euro?

Edit: Ok, not most... But you know, the major 3rd world countries. Hell, i think Egypt is considered 3rd world because of the massive class differences we have, and we have excellent, cap free internet readily available for anyone who wants it. Did i mention that we're 80 million people?

Well here in the UK i'm with virgin media, we get 20mB speed and unlimited download caps, we also get free modem and wireless router. it's not that expensive either as we get calls and TV from them too.

Good thing not many actual use Bell these days, everyone's gone over to Eastlink for the most part cause Bell has horrible service. Their connectivity is horrid, their speed is slow as hell and they're a bunch of greedy douchebags who've already tried this stunt (among others) before

Hmm, the CRTC is on a role, first banning money for nothing and now this. I forget which of us let monkeys run the CRTC in the first place

Probably. They've been toying with an internet cap for years, in fact I think I posted an article about it in like 2007

UPDATE: The petition has brought on board both the NDP and now the Liberals, so essentially two thirds of the government are against it, they just need to convince the governing party (the Conservatives)
