yeh try the alpha channel its far better

Yes I used plastic wrap. Actually, I used Paint Daub, then Plastic Wrap to get the color more solid for plastic wrap.

out of curiosity, have you read the tut on making BM style ships? I think it was written by both Vex and Tthomaso a long time ago. I don't know if the tut is still up or not, but I may have a copy of it somewhere
