Expect ELZ footage in 7 Days!

I know this could go in the ELZ forum section, but I have the suspicion no one looks there, so I'm posting it here. Expect in 7 days, the first 2 1/2 minutes of ELZ to be released!!! It will be released on the ELZ forum earthlinkzero.motionsforum.com, when it's ready. The episode will not be released scene by scene, this is just a taste to get your mouths watering, but after this scene, character animation will begin. That's right, we're getting to the point where it's time to start putting some characters to voices!

Earth link zero is a science fiction show made by DW and Toa. It will be in full 3D (if i understood it right). You can get more information on the earth link forum.

Well, yes, that's what i meant. I sometimes forget full 3d now means the movie is going to hit you in the face a few times...

yeah, and I was just clarifying it for others, I know you and I already went through this discussion 6 months ago

well, the opening sequence is done save for one shot which we wait on our good friend toa for, and we should most likely be meeting our Friday deadline.

Oh, and what do you use as characters? 3d models or real actors?

3d models. If I had a set in which I could even do green screening, I'd use real actors, it's so much easier IMO, but, I don't have a set so we'll stick to 3d animated characters

And even if you had a set and crew, their acting would most likely be really awful. 3D is better, if you're good enough at it that is.

well, not necessarily, the 3d animated will be worse acting because of lack of facial expression and expression in general. I know some half decent actors and people who do drama and theatre, the other half is in directing, you can make half decent actors look good if you have a good director

Did you know you can animate in blender?

I think everyone who uses it knows...its just far too complicated for me to handle.

well, I have the guide to animating in blender.

i have heard that with the new release of blender, they will be changing the interface to make it easier to use
