It's a very good antivirus checker. It searches and heals infected files.

Stupidest thing I've done? Putting Spy Sweeper and Norton Internet Security 2006 on my computer (not simultaneously.)

Norton does take a lot of time. AVG is part of nprton but in my experience it's fairly quick.

stupidest thing- buying a pc

no really, i prefer the mac, i just don't have one. mind you, i do like my vista, but only because i payed a lot of money for some cool features

(yeah sorry, I have a serious grudge against windows XP and Vista, after XP blew a PC of mine to smithereens) (mind you, it was a LEGAL version)

That's why you get a better HD! Also, when you do that, keep Windows installed, so that you can dual boot the Operating Systems. (That means, that you can have windows, and Linux! And, you can switch between operating systems, at the click of a button!)
So, you can have the greatness of Linux, along with the games of windows, (when you switch to windows.) on the same computer!
