A Stargate idea (yes, this is intended for general chat)

I was wondering, how popular might a stargate RP go here? I think it'd be fun to do and stuff, because there's so many different ideas and outcomes that could occur. Due not, the DW Rp is still in full swing, and that won't be shutting down any time soon.

Ok, here would be some rough ideas. PLayers would be made up into Sg teams of four people. These teams would be sent out on missions, and would have their own mission log. Sometimes, teams might join in missions. There would be the SGC, and a main overview mission log would be there, plus your missions and everything would be assigned by the SGC.

Sounds good. (Even though I have never done Rp before, but have read it)

well, this would be intended for anybody. us older people can show the newer ones the ropes for rp playing. it can be a lot of fun as long some basic principles are followed

we'd need to develop an enemy too, that would be something useful in making this exciting or worthwile

So would some people be enemys with others? (From the forum?)

Nah, that encourages ubering.

that might be cool if people from the forum were enemies. maybe the enemy of the rp, could be an alternate sgc, an evil one, one that would steal tech from people and stuff. i don't know, if somebody has a better idea, let me know!

Or Wraith, another Ba'al clone, Anubis came back, the ex-Ori followers get ambitious or stuff...

BTW... Can we be Ship Captains? Like... The Prometheus, The Odyssey or the Deadulus (Only said the most famous starships...)

no, i don't want it to go in that direction. if we ever (but probably never will) had a lot of people play, then maybe a starship would be controled by more then an npc(or in other words me) for the meantime, we'll stick with SG teams. hey btw, for all those that saw the ending of sg1, what happened to the supergates?

yeah i really don't know, cause i googled it, and it didn't tell me squat. well, it told me lots about supergates, but not if they were destroyed or not

Nothing... The Ori folloewers were converted and the Supergates were conserved for future use... Although they must have a fleet of Jaffa ships guarding it...

It's just a supposition... They never referred anything that they would blown the gate... I mean, they were talking like if they would be capable of turning to be future allies...

It's ok, although I won't be playing becuase I've just started watching Stargate, like within the past few days. So I have no knowlage about it except of course the stargate and there are these people with wierd things on their head

Will this include Atlantis or just SG-1?

yeah, we'll be sticking with the SGC and Eartrh and stuff. I'm toying with it taking place a few years down the road, where SG-1 finally split, and it's a whole new team. ANd for those who haven't watched SG1, that's OK, I'll give a crash SG course in the beginning so you have a rough idea of what to do. you won't need to be somebody who knows all the crap

I watched 1 ½ episodes of SG-1, and that was within the past week.

i watch on average 3-4 episodes a week

this is all of sg1 summed up they run around with p90's shooting everything that moves

yes, except that COD 4 doesn't have over dressed aliens.

Although with that 3, I can get a good idea of what it is about.

My experience with SG-1:

I hear about it a few months ago by my cousin’s grandmother who watches it all the time.
A few days ago I stumble across it on tv, watch 1 episode, and liked it.
Watched ½ of one after the 1st one.
Today I turned the channel on and the first thing I see (this is SG-1) are people in armor with large (let me repeat, large) guns and rifles and are ready to shoot everyone in sight. (Although it turned out better)

i don't know how many saggy guys you've seen running around in underdressed costumes, but trust me, it ain't pretty!

the fact that a lot of aliens are guys, especially in SG1, but there are definately a lot of the female variety as well

but anyway, when is the RP actually gonna start?

Hmmm... Will our enemies be something related with the Lucian Alliance? Or some renegade humans from the alterans home galaxy? Or another hive-ship that arrived milky-way and now is establishing terrain to launch an assault on Earth? Will this include any new class or we will only see 304's and 302's?

the plot will work out as it gets played, as for the enmy, it'll be somebody made up

yeah, we dont want a exact replica of SG1
