my day

ok, i dunno how the weather is like right now with you guys, but it has been crazy here.
let me post something of my day.

ok, i went to visit my granddad today.

2 hour drive starting at 8AM, nothing troublesome.

arrived. had fun with the dog, went walking with it, read a bit, talked a bit, the usual.

a bit before noon, it started snowing. I was like: 'wtf?' knowing that it does not often snow in the NL, especially not at my granddad's.

after eating, me and the dog went out. the dog was like: 'WTF???', because she never had seen snow before. (she's still very young)
and we had some fun.

soon we started to go back home. already there lay quite a lot of snow.

we then had to get to the highway. 5-10 minutes normally, but it took us 30 today.

then drove over the highway. 100kmh less than the freaking speed limit: 30kmh.
the Belgian highways were not cleared yet, so we were driving over an ice track. at 30 kmh. in a freaking blizzard.

then we had to go through the messy hell that is Antwerp.
seriously. it's worse than all the traffic jams of New York and LA put to together, squared.
put snow with that and you got motorist's hell.

then we still had to do more than 100km.

finally we got on the regional road alongside the canal.

in total, we took 5 hours and 10 minutes for a distance that normally takes less than 2 hours.

and all the time i was sitting in the back of a small Opel Corsa, on a back seat WAY too short for my legs.

and now i'm very stiff and aching.

so i will go to sleep now, because tomorrow i have to get up early, to go to school

on my bike through that freaking snow!

man, it's gonna be so much fun.

wish me luck, because I'll need it.

yeah. lucky me. unfortunately, the ford isn't used much. what do you want: it uses 3 times more than the opel, and it's petrol, not diesel

meh. sometimes i think this country is weird. it's okay to have XXX at 16 here, but you're not allowed to drive, but in most countries it's the other way round!

crazy time schedule, 1 lesson in the morning, 5 free hours, and next 2 lessons. i tell you, my lesson schedulers must be using a mixture of weed, crack and speed! Shocked
