Well, I was gonna post a topic about this earlier, but I got sidetracked.

Yesterday, it rained almost all day!

Yes, sucks big time.

But, in the afternoon, I decided to go fishing with a few of my buddies down at the lake/dam not too far away from my house.

(Lake Overholser. Oh, dang it! Now everyone has an idea of the area where I live!)

Well, we were fishing by the dam for a while, and then the spillway siren went off, because the dam people were going to let water out of the spillway.

They usually don't do this that early in the day, but they decided to do it. (Probably cause of the excessive rainfall.)

I just so happened to be right under the dam!

(Note: The water was soooo freakin cold!!!!!!!!)

The shore was actually pretty far away, but I took a run for it!

I could see/hear the dam spillway opening!!

DARN! I ran so fast! LOL!

I barely got out of the way when the water started gushing out of the spillway. LOL!

All of my friends were freaking out! LOL!

(Lots of "OMG")

Well, I made it.

I'm here aren't I?

It still scared the poop out of me!

Well, the fishing is crappy behind the dam!

Plus, you can't really get out into the water on the other side, mostly because it's over 40 feet deep. LOL!

For one of my DofE walks I had to sleep in a tent directly under a hundred-year old dam. Not comforting hearing water roaring away from the slipway. Literally, the guilines of the tent were a foot away from the water!

but yeah, that could be funny DJ-up until the point where you die. Sad

I went for a swin in the channel once...ok, the boat capsized but still, it was nice.

ok then, laymans terms: we were on a boat with some marines training them several things, and then one of them suddenly got the idea that large dingys were unsinkable, so he started jumping on the side.guess what happened next.
