I've used linux and it's pretty good... It only has one problem -> lack of compatibility...

well you cant play games on linux some versoins dont support slash and the ones that do are really laggy trust me your better of getting windows 98 unless you use it like a notebook for work its RUBBISH!!!!

Mac is better than linux. My school library uses linux and a friend of mine has Mac. I saw both in action and Mac is better.

itunes is a rip off problem is where i live macs are considerd and insuprieror computer my school has it drumed in there heads microsoft is better than macs (Crying or Very sad)

about the lagging, either:
A. your PC comes from the year 1944 and is name colossus II
B. you fruit up the kernel.
there are no other options. I was able to run a linux version on a PC which was barely able to run 2000, with output comparable with XP or newer, four desktops simultaneously, one running partitioning software, one running games, one internetting and on with music. ALL AT ONCE.
