WTF are you Doing DW?!?

Saving the forum is essentially it. After a lot of thinking and discussing with a couple people and review of the forum overall, I see what has happened to this place. On a downward spiral ever since becoming EH, we've lost members, gained a couple inactive members, become less enthused with this place, become somewhat more hostile towards each other and so on and so forth.

So this may (or may not) upset some of you, but I'm taking full control of this forum again and making it my forum that I share with you guys (and others hopefully) as that is how it used to be. Now don't get me wrong, I respect that everyone has their opinions, rights etc, but this is a forum, not a country. You chose to be here and I will understand (though try to discourage you) if you decide to leave because of this.

I know I haven't really asked people's opinion on this (well I have in the past I guess) but from looking back over the years, this happens at least once a year where things do die, get slacker etc and then we lose control, except this time I continued to let it happen. I got too concerned with making others happy (which has turned out to be ultimately a very small and select group of people) instead of making myself happy by making the forum a good place to be. I know this is quite selfish and definitely makes me 100% hypocrite, but it has to be done. It's just in the past things never went this far and I would pull the reigns a lot tighter when it did start to happen, which I didn't do this time.

I may some very bad mistakes last year that we never really recuperated from and for that I am deeply sorry. But now, this is the only way I can change things and by returning us back home. Changing to Event Horizon and having all the shit that happened while we were EH was like when we moved around last year to different forums, it just wasn't ours, it didn't feel right, it wasn't home. That's what's happened here. So if you guys got my e-mail earlier, I understand if I'm gonna get some hate mail and if some people decide to leave. Trust me, this is not some devious and paranoid plan to get particular people to leave. You all know how I work, if I want someone gone, I find a way of having them banned. This isn't the case. None of what's going to happen is personal, but it's in the interests of the forum.

Some of you (maybe all of you) may not see it like that and would rather it be some devious plan that I schemed up months ago or some foolishness like that and I'll understand if you do.

So this is to new beginnings and our old home.

I honestly dont care one way or the other as long as everyone that i have come to know on this forum stays.

Some kind of warning would have been appreciated...

I belive this is still event horizan, the URL just changed, as he couldent have switched over all of the posts and stuff, you know.

I thin part of this was because Wikipedia had a link to the original URL

well, if I had Flash and Photoshop I'd definitely continue with BM3

and sorry, it was a more or less spur of the moment thing. Besides, what would a warning have done anyways? Not giving you a warning just gives less opportunity for you to talk me out of it

And I'm surprised there's no hate mail yet, I usually have gotten hate mail by this point

As always its fantastic, though i kinda liked the old one better, but this one is still really good.

Speaking of forum skins, dont forget to do my sites skin, i am waiting to start the site untill the nav bar is finished as there is only 3 buttons........

its looks purdy good, except it bugs me how the avvys are on the right side for some reason.

if anybody wants a cool Mark 2 avvie, now's the time to speak up and say so! Image should be taller than it is wide like mine and Destral's. Just makes things easier overall

yeah, more or less, though I'm not going to be quite as strict as I was back then. I'll allow a few F bombs here and there, but we'll keep away from the "rape myself" and posts of simply excessive language. Mostly because only a couple people did it it really I think people for the most preferred things being clean and friendly. In fact people said that quite a lot over the years. Just remember that most of the forum is visible to guests of any age so use your best judgment. You can still post 16+ music and videos mostly because in Canada, we don't have 16+, w have 14+ which is essentially the equivalent. The main thing to just cut back on is excessive and extremely vulgar language in the main post content. If you do post something that's vid or music of a more disturbing content or something, just say so in the post that the vid isn't meant for weak eyes or something.

DW i have a fully liecenced version of flash but no photoshop but fireworks tho pro8 i can leagal share with bussiness assocites being on here i classifie it as that
