Haven't seen the TNG episodes in a while so I decided to look over the box set again. I really forgot how good it was.

TNG just kind of bored me, unlike DS9. Don't know why. I might give it a try again sometime.

Should probably start watching voyager first.

First series I saw was TNG, I still watch it if it is on. They never show VOY on TV anymore, nor DS9. It's all TOS, TNG, and ENT confused

For me it was the other way around, liked TNG, didn't like DS9 and then a few months back I gave it another try and loved it

I first saw TNG first then VOY and ENT. I actually found that TOS was a little boring but I never did like Pre-90s ST. DS9 I didn't know existed until one day I was flicking through the channels and saw 'Deep Space 9' and was like 'what the hell is this'. In order.. DS9, TNG, VOY, ENT, TOS.

Then comes TAS.. which was just a fail.

It's like those crummy sci-fi films. I think it nearly killed ST which was why there was only about 80-90 episodes.

Yes, but you don't like TOS cause I'm of the opposite opinion, they saved Star Trek

Most people hate it simply cause it's Trek, and it's new.

New & Trek, Aren't aloud to go with each other.

Yeah, hate to say it, but a lot of trekkies would have rathered it continued on its downward spiral to complete failure, which was pretty much where it was at until Abrams picked it up

The reason trekkies hate it is probably because it was your standard issue action film shoved into the star trek universe.

I didn't like it that much to be honest. Felt like your average hollywood action film script with CGI to cover up its flaws.

Well there was a lot more emotion in this movie than your standard action flick, plus it had the right ambience. It was what trek needed to get going again, I think you'll see this next one be more of a story driven one (they have stated that they're trying more of like a TOS story where it;s a bit of an analogy for something (ie racism, war etc))

MEh in all honesty movies like those aren't as good as the original ones, mostly because the characters have already been developed by the actors that played them before, and it is a bit strange to see different actors playing those characters. (Kinda like some of the characters in the SW universe)

But hey, that's my opinion and I'm kinda dumb, soo...

I think they did a rather good job of portraying these super iconic characters without simply imitating them. I should probably watch Trek again and review it
