New Staff Plan

Ok, so here's my plan for staffing here. The staff will change up, some people may or may not be mods anymore, and other people might be filling other roles. However, the staff will no longer mod the whole forum, but rather sections of the forum. Each staff member will most likely be paired with some other staff member and be designated a section of the forum to mod. That way modding won't be too big a job for people and hopefully a better job will get done. My Center Circle of staff as I will call it will have responsibility of the whole forum, but only in a general way. That way if things start slipping up, I know who's responsibility it is and who I should be havin a talking too.

Good idea. Also, if you need a new mod, i'm up. I'm here every day when i can (which is every day...normally...)

hmm i see. i guess im gonna be a mod of a section, which is totally fine with me.

That's a good system. Specialization will keep it more in line.

yes, and this means that there might be more mods! there already has been one(and he deserves it!)

it's just experience in changing this thing around, it used to take me well over a week to get this far, but now i can do it in a couple of days. of course this is going through a more major change, so it might take a while longer. btw, congrats on your promotion

So the green people (me, ED) just have a general responsibility over the forum like we did in the past?

yeah, you proved that you had supreme dedication to the forum (more than me really!) and I figured you deserve the role. Stewi was great and I hope he doesn't take it personally, it's just, he's not on a lot and so I wanted somebody who was here a little more.

yes, and you can even see the Admin section now too. I brought ED down because it didn't seem like he did much with the administrator functions of the forum, so he still has full run of the place, just not the admin panel. however, if i am incorrect than i will put you back as an admin

For Admin things, there really wasn't much for me to do anyway.Everything that would require an admin happened when i was offline.

Well this sucks! Now we can't talk bad about Alka behind his back! (Kidding)

What's the difference between Administrator and Moderator anyway?

Admins have more control. They can change the layout of the forum, ban users, etc.

Yea, that's the word I was looking for, though robust also fits.

so on a different note, what do you all think of the new logo? it's not bad for not being made in photoshop, but i wish i had photoshop because then the glows would have worked out properly

For a sec, that looked like the Colony Wars font like on my forum. I like it, not bad for not being made in photoshop. What program did you use, MS paint? Paint.NET?

corel photopaint, and the font is hyperion or something like that

Hey DW, you going to create new staff images and such? I see the inner core has their own, but I was wondering if, with the new forum look, we would need new rank images?

That would be logical, what with the new skin and everything. (Logic FTW)

if i can get photoshop sometime this summer than yeah, but i don't even really like the inner core pics. photopaint ain't quite like photoshop

and perhaps the forum could also highlight different mods in different colors at the bottom. that way people can see if a general mod is on, or an extras mod, ect.

yeah, i thought of that, but then it'll have a whole list of colours down at the bottom for each type of mod and that takes up a bunch of space, and then i might run out of colours
